Raven's Moon

Your Path to Self-Discovery!

I had an idea for creating a Pagan Circle here - and I was wondering if there would be an interest. Basically the idea is that we come together in spellwork, prayer, medidation or whatever means you use in your practice once a month to acheive more for the whole!

I would create a separate group for us to meet and discuss ideas first of all - but the general idea for the group would be the following:

1) We would pick one topic once a month that would be in line with the appropriate moon for that month. Depending on what we decide to do at the start of the month, we would pick either the waxing or waning moon phase.

2) Everyone in the group would do their work within a 3-day period that we would establish based on needed moon phase for that month's work. You could do your work anytime during that 3-day period.

3) You can choose any medium for your work - a spell, a meditation, a prayer - whatever works best for you within your belief system.

4) Even though we are not pysically close, our energy would pool together hopefully to the benefit of everyone in the group. Each one of us would be boosting everyone else's work for that month.

5) Although this would not be a Wiccan group and anyone from any faith is welcome to participate, we will follow the Wiccan Rede of "Harm none" and no work violating that rule would be allowed. We will only work positive intent in the group.

Let me know what you all think. If there is enough interest for something like this I will get it started and we can use next month as our first Circle!

Bright Blessings,
Dark Raven

Merry Meet!
I would like to join in on this Circle, as it sounds like a good idea...But who here [in the group] will be the moderator/mentor for the circle and the newer members like myself? AND I have a question to start the group off, maybe on a novice's note: What does a Wiccan/Pagan do on a full moon? Is there a set ritual for this and other things, or is this something we make up as we go along? Please reply if you'll answer my questions. Thanx,
Blessed Be!

MM!

You can join the group here:

I will be moderating it for now. In terms of starting down your pagan path, I would highly recommend any of the few books below to get you started:

* Wicca - A guide to the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham
* The Inner Temple of Witchcraft by Christopher Penczak
* True Magick - A beginner's Guide by Amber K
* Mother, Maiden and Crone - The myth and reality of the Triple Goddess by D.J. Conway
* Wicca for One - the path of Solitary Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland

Any of those books can get you started. Being Wiccan is more than just doing rituals on a full moon - I would highly recommend that you start with the basics of Wicca and move up from there. We also have some information on many of our groups here, where you may be able to do some research as well:

Those books are great to get you started. I hope this helps!

Merry Meet...
I have only read of this, now, and I have found myself interested. Can I still join, even though the group was formed three months ago?

Merry Meet, Merry Part, and Merry Meet, Again.
