Your Path to Self-Discovery!

Where do you find space to practice or perform rituals in or how do you go about it when space is limited or have a lack of privacy? I'd love to be able to do more rituals, but space is limited inside and our backyard isn't very private.

I really wish I could perform rituals outside. I have such an open space it is soo beautiful, but my neighbors and where I live prohibit me from doing so. If we had a privacy fence around our property I might consider it more, but I don't:(.
For the time being though I do my rituals in my bathroom. I know that may sound corny; especially since my altar is in my bedroom. It is the bathroom attached to my bedroom though. I always have to wait till my son goes to bed and is asleep. I do not have roommates. I am married, but my hubby does not do rituals with me. So, I also perform them on nights when he is not at home when I prefer to do these.
The reason I choose my bathroom is because I LOVE to take a cleansing/aromatherapy bath beforehand. I feel more in tune with myself and the energies I am going to be dealing with. Plus, after taking a hot bath I already have the room warm enough that I either perform skyclad or wear a special outfit I have for just those occasions. It just depends on how I feel at the moment.
I can see where some people have very tight spaces, have roommates and may uncomfortable. The thing is I am not vocal all the time. I do feel that (just a personal note for me) when I am more vocal than in my head or talking softly; my intent is heard more. Here I think the emotion and you really getting into it is more of it. I still think that you get the same effect though either way you choose to go.

My advice is just find a place where you live (if you can) and make it work for you. You do not need to go all out and have kinds of supplies. I usually have incense, oils, candles and me. Every once in a great while I go out and have more. I take my time prepping my space before hand. It all depends on what you want.

I wish you well and hope you find what works for you.

Brightest Blessings!

I have a standing altar set up on my living room mantel. I think however I am going to move it into my bedroom on top of my dresser which is about 6 feet in length. I try to keep a standing altar up because some of the altar tools I have are very lovely and I can't imagine keeping them put away in a cupboard. Especially my God and Goddess statues...
