I think I have a connection already, but I will absolutely do all the exercises. Last fall when I was on the Pacific coast in Oregon, I was mesmerized by the sea; the pull of the waves was awesome. I was just blown away. Additionally there is a ru...
I am solo practitioner, a nature lover. I love the sunlight dappling on aspen leaves and I love the soft moon light right after dusk on a full moon. I am a lover for the magical arts.
What is the most rewarding thing for you about your pagan path?
In the craft, I feel such a tremendous energy and profound peace. l serve the triple moon Goddess. I feel one with all things nature. My view point of life has been enhanced and dramatically changed and I feel so fulfilled.

Good Morning! I'm up kinda early, but need to go back to sleep soon. My fiance had to go out and plow/salt this morning--we've gotten some snow, and the temp is supposed to drop tremendously and winds are supposed to pick up--UGH! Not looking forward to that. I'm sorry that the job interview wasn't a match. At least you tried! I love traveling, but hate the time it takes to get from one distance to another. Don't mind planes too much though. Well, minus the last time I was on one. When I was a nanny for that one Dutch family, they took me with them a few years to France, and the last trio I went with them, I had one of those small bottles of wine (the cheaper one) after a good one, and I was sick the whole way home and way after I had gotten back to my parents' house. It was terrible! Never again will I drink alcohol on a plane again.
I hope you're able to catch up on your classes. Have a blessed week, Aehtelbert, and we'll talk again soon!
Hey, Aethelbert. Sorry I didn;t get back to you right away--you know how busy it is over there, and with that new group and all my studies from my online class...total chaos! LOL! I do think of you, though, everytime we have a beautiful day here in MI; I remember how much Nature means to you and I think what a blessing it is to have you as a friend.
We are--depending if Dan and his bro have to work or not; when it snows, they are out plowing and salting--supposedly going upnorth to Mancelona, MI to see the guys' mom and aunt for Christmas. Where their aunt is used to be a huge ski lodge, but not anymore. It's like being on a big mountain out in the woods; civilization is about a half-hour away from their house, and Traverse City is not to far away. My online course is going good. I'm still a bit behind, but when I first started it, I typed for about an hour and it all got deleted--I got frustrated that i'd lost all the work and effort into it and had to start all over again. She said I could turn the lessons in at my own pace.
I know what you mean--this is a much smaller group and more personal. That is why I am trying to wittle my other groups down and have a focus on what sites are important to me. The only reason I have not been here that often is because nobody was around, everyone was busy or had forgotten about it here. I would like to focus more on being here again. I love this site!!!
That group you would be refering to is called The Ranting Raven. The Witch of the North has an awesome, BoS packed site. She practices with her husband and family and has a special group she works with in Alaska.
So far, The Priestess Entrepreneurship class consists of Lessons we have to complete. There are about 7 different parts in the first lesson, only because it's mostly an ice-breaker and getting to know about me and my thoughts on the different questions asked. Like, her first section goes off The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra. Then in the second section, we have a book to read from called Priestess Entrepreneurship: Keep Your Soul Surviving as Your Business is Thriving by Cindy Morris, MSW. That's how far I've gotten--I take a long time with my lessons, I write a lot, and she says that's good: the more you write, the more you learn about what you want. And I get all my emotions down when I do this. So her lessons cover both spirituality and the entrepreneurship focuses.
My studies with my book are going good; that's what I'm incorporating, along with other Wiccan studies, Shamanism, Celtic and Goddess lore, the whole works, with my group on PS. I just post things as they come and work off the discussions. Almost 54 people now. Adepts and novices--a good balance, we can all learn and support one another. Most of them are my friends, and they are really a great bunch to communicate with.
I typed out! Have a wonderful day. We have to go out and get the guys' unemployment settled at Michigan Works so they can start getting thier winter paychecks.
Until next time, MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS! HAVE A BLESSED DAY, AETHELBERT! any plans for Yule?
Hello, Aethelbert! Sorry I haven't been around much; popping in and out recently, but I've been out of it for the past month or so. I've been trying to do too much at once and my mind has been just spinning. I joined an online class called The Priestess Entrepreneruship, and I'm hoping it will help me with the business I would like to start and my spirituality as well--along with my book I'm studying from.....I just started a blog on my studies, kind of like a draft BoS, going along with what I am studying. I only have four posts so far, but it's a start. The book I'm studying has one week lessons, and I use other books I have as well, and have gotten more info online from where I'm at on PaganSpace.net. There's a girl from Alaska who posts some really good spells, trads., anything and everything from her own BoS, and she has a lot of very good informational stuff on Wicca in there. I'm glad you're enjoying your course, too! There's so much to learn on this path, yet I still take everything with a grain of salt. I like reading mythology and historical writings, but I have a hard time comprhending things sometimes.
We should hook your aunt up with my dad. He's 84 also (I was asopted; he's originally my great uncle), elderly, and although he has a stage of dimensia, he too is sharp as a tack. LOL! His stories are good, but he tells them in a boring way and makes you want to hibernate. lol.
Holidays, hmmm...I'm making it a point to make my first Yule log this year. We're going upnorth for "Christmas" to celebrate with Dan's mom and aunt--we haven't seen her since we moved her upnorth over the summer. I just want to celebrate Yule here. Oh, well. The traveling will be nice, especially if there's snow on the trees. It's a beautiful trip to take upnorth in MI at any time of the year!
Goddess bless you, and I will try and keep in touch more often. Take care.
Blessings!
~CSgirl
Hello, Aethelbert! Haven't talked to you in a while. How are you doing? It's cold here in MI, wet rainy snow. Everything's looking kind of dull, and I just heard a branch drop in our back woods, but I couldn't see where it was at. I hope you're still enjoying your classes. What kind of weather do you get out htere in New Mexico?
Have a good evening, and don't be afraid to drop me a not sometime! I love hearing from you!
A long time ago I had dropped her an e-mail after I'd started reading her books, and she wrote back briefly that she was glad I had started my studies and wished me luck. I'm very eclectic, though, and I sometimes just take things as they come to me. I have an interest in so many topics that the more I read about them, the more they make sense to me. I look a lot to Nature, though, since I haven't practiced in a long time, and as well as you know--you don't need to cast a spell or have a big ritual to receive blessings from the Goddess in Nature: She is right there, and if you are in tune and able to connect with it, you don't need any magickal trappings--all Her gifts are right there all around you!
I'm glad you're enjoying your courses. It does help a lot when you can directly talk with someone. Dark Raven has a lot of knowledge under her belt. Have a good evening!
Good evening, Aethelbert. I'm glad you like the course of study. I'm going to follow Be a Goddess! by Francesca DeGrandis for my first year of study (through her book; she doesn't have an online web course yet), and she also has a second book out called Goddess Initiation, which I will continue afterwards. I would love to take classes through her The Third Road, but she's out in San Fransisco, California. Oh, well. She's got a grimoire online, and her studies pertain to some of what I want to continue studying.
Well, I hope you had a good Samhain. Are you getting ready for Yule yet? Oh, I saw the most beautiful sunrise this morning! It was a thick horizon of shimmering red/black with the same color sun in the middle. Breathtaking, I tell you.
Have a good night, and I'll talk with you again soon!
No, I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to join Wicca 101 yet. I really would like to, but maybe later in my studies. Let me know how you like it, though. It seems like the best one I've seen on the web so far! :)
Actually I believe she came into our yard the day she was born,( she still was wobbling and had goo) But in Idaho there are alot of hunters and I we didn't want our bambi getting shot for being too friendly, so we had to call up fish and game. The mama we believed was new to having babies and had complications. 24 hours after she wobbly walked onto our doorstep and tried to nurse off of everything (our fixed female chow, male cat, our legs, to name a few) she was taken to a rehabilitation center but still let footprints on our hearts ;p We even get moose in our yard! Lol! Just another situation of which helped me enjoy nature more. Blessed Be Shawn.
